IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWQC) - The Iowa women’s basketball team will advance to the second round of the NCAA tournament after winning big over No. 16-seed Holy Cross Crusaders in the opening round of the tournament.

Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder reflected on Iowa junior, Addison O’Grady’s contributions that gave the Hawkeyes a boost in the game.

“Addison O’Grady got to put the Iowa sticker up today,” said coach Bluder. “I think she played really well for us. We’re going to need that down the line. We’re going to need her height. We’re going to need her confidence. She did a great job tonight.”

The final score of the game was 91-65.

The Hawkeyes will play the winner of the West Virginia vs. Princeton game on Monday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena at 7 p.m.
